Airtel-Starlink Deal Bharti Airtel has entered into an agreement with Elon Musk's SpaceX to introduce Starlink's satellite internet service in India.
How is Starlink different? Starlink operates a network of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites that provides high-speed internet with minimal latency.
How will this help India? Aims to provide internet access to remote areas of India. Currently, out of 644,131 villages, 615,836 have 4G mobile connectivity.
How much will it cost? India Pricing is not announced. In Bhutan, Starlink's 'Residential Lite Plan' costs about Rs 3,000 monthly for speeds of 23 to 100 Mbps.
Starlink’s Global Presence It is currently available in over 100 countries including Kenya. Among India's neighbours, only Bhutan has access to Starlink.
