NTPCs wholly owned subsidiary-- NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) has entered into a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) with Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology (MAHAPREIT) on September 25, 2024. The JV company will undertake development of 10 GW of Renewable Energy Parks and Projects in Maharashtra or in any other state of India.

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
