Coal India reports marginal fall in coal production during September 2024

Coal India has reported marginal fall of 1% in coal production to 50.9 million tonnes (MT) (Provisional) during September 2024 as compared to 51.4 MT (Provisional) in September 2023. It produced 341.3 MT (Provisional) of coal during April- September period, up 2.5% from 332.9 MT (Provisional) during the same period previous year.  

In September 2024, Coal offtake decreased by 1.4% to 54.4 MT (Provisional) from 55.2 MT (Provisional) in September 2023. The total offtake of coal during the April- September period increased to 366.6 MT (Provisional), up 1.7% from 360.6 MT (Provisional) in the corresponding period last fiscal.
