Tata Power Company’s Board of Directors has approved investment for 1000 MW Pumped Storage Hydro Project in Bhivpuri. The Company's overall existing capacity stands at 15.2 GW. The investment required for said capacity addition is Rs 5,666 crore.
Pumped Storage Hydro Project will be instrumental in Renewable Energy Round the Clock (RE-RTC) applications, facilitating energy shifting, and contributing to the decarbonize hard to abate industries. The Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on October 30, 2024 has approved the same.
