Coal India has reported rise of 2.3% in coal production to 62.5 million tonnes (MT) (Provisional) during October 2024 as compared to 61.1 MT (Provisional) in October 2023. It produced 403.8 MT (Provisional) of coal during April- October period, up 2.5% from 394.0 MT (Provisional) during the same period previous year.
In October 2024, Coal offtake decreased marginally by 0.5% to 61.4 MT (Provisional) from 61.7 MT (Provisional) in October 2023. The total offtake of coal during the April- October period increased to 428.5 MT (Provisional), up 1.5% from 422.2 MT (Provisional) in the corresponding period last fiscal.
