Bharat Electronics Delivers Robust Q3 Performance: Net Profit Soars 47.3%, Revenue Jumps 37%

Q3 Financial Highlights

Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics reported a stellar performance in the December quarter, surpassing street estimates. The company's revenue from operations grew by 37% to ₹5,643 crore, compared to ₹4,120.10 crore in the same period last year. Operating profit, measured by EBITDA, saw a 57.5% improvement, reaching ₹1,653 crore. The EBITDA margin expanded by 330 basis points to 28.7% in Q3.

Profit before tax (PBT) for the third quarter increased by 49.64% to ₹1,754.15 crore, up from ₹1,172.26 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. On the bottom line, profit after tax (PAT) grew by 47.33% to ₹1,316.06 crore, compared to ₹893.30 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal.

9MFY25 Performance

For the first nine months of the fiscal year 2025 (9MFY25), Bharat Electronics' revenue from operations stood at ₹14,173.68 crore, up from ₹11,484.92 crore in the same period of the previous year. PBT increased to ₹4,242.37 crore from ₹2,948.95 crore, while PAT rose to ₹3,183.47 crore from ₹2,236.48 crore.

Order Book and Stock Performance

The company's order book position as of January 1, 2025, stood at a robust ₹71,100 crore. Meanwhile, the stock has reacted positively to the Q3 numbers, trading 4% higher at ₹278 apiece as of 3:00 p.m. It has surged by 300% over the last 2 years and 730% over the last 5 years.
